Canada Gong Gong News Agency Announced Its Establishment in Toronto Professor Sun Ruixiang Appointed President

Its headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada's largest city.

Mr. Sun Ruixiang has been engaged in journalism for over forty years, achieving remarkable accomplishments in the fields of journalism education and research. He has accumulated extensive experience through his long-term media practice, making him an influential media scholar and industry leader. Professor Sun Ruixiang is also a prose writer, currently serving as a director of the Canadian Chinese Writers Association, holding a Ph.D. in Literature and the title of Grade 3 Professor.

Sun Ruixiang was born in Tianjin, China. In 1982, he graduated from the Department of Journalism at Fudan University, and in 2009, he received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and World Literature from Tianjin Normal University. He previously served as the Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Tianjin Normal University, the head of the Tianjin news desk of the Economic Herald, and a special correspondent for the Tianjin Daily. He is a master's supervisor and a renowned teacher in Tianjin. He has served as the Vice President of the Research Committee on the History of Journalism and Communication Education of the Chinese Society of Journalism History and as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Editorial Committee of the "Yearbook of Chinese Journalism and Communication Education." He has published six books (including "The Magic of Language," "Principles of Advertising Planning and Creativity," "Journalism, Communication, and Contemporary Society – A Sociological Perspective on Communication," "Research on Popular Culture and Communication," "Advertising Planning and Creativity," and "Interpretation of the Generation Mechanisms and Dissemination Dynamics of Contemporary Chinese Popular Culture") and has published over three million characters of various journalistic, literary, and academic works.

Professor Sun Ruixiang settled in Toronto, Canada in 2020. He is well-known and highly respected in the Canadian Chinese community and has held a series of social positions. In addition to being the President of the Canada Gong Gong News Agency, he is also the Editor-in-Chief of Canada Legend Culture Media Group, the Vice President of Zhonghua News Agency, and the founder of Observation Canada, North American Outlook, Ruixiang Vision, and Ruixiang Cultural and Creative Studio. He is a distinguished professor in the Film and Television Media Department at the Toronto Conservatory of Music, special consultant for the Canadian Chinese Media Journalists Association, director of the Canadian Chinese Writers Association, co-president of the Tianjin Professionals Association of Canada, vice chairman of the World Tourism Promotion Alliance, and media public relations director of the China-Canada Enterprise Overseas Service Center.

Through his unique journalistic perspective and captivating writing style, he has showcased the friendly and harmonious social landscape of various ethnic groups in Canada. He has made outstanding contributions to spreading the voices of overseas Chinese, telling China's story well, and fostering Sino-Canadian people-to-people cultural exchange. He was awarded the title of “Sino-Canadian Cultural Ambassador” by the Canada-China Cultural Communication Association and received the Platinum Jubilee Medal from Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, in recognition of his positive efforts in promoting multiculturalism in Canada and Sino-Canadian friendship.
